Music With Flair

We perform entertaining arrangements throwing in a few theatrics – much to the delight of our audiences.

IMG_0502The Pearly Band

Representing the Pearly Kings and Queens of London’s East End the Pearly Band has been recreated to bring a program of tunes all about London. The focus is on east London which is home to London’s famous Cockneys. Like the Cockneys this program is full of happy go lucky tunes which are sure to uplift the audience, even on the dreariest of days.

Ship Ahoy!

Step aboard with us for a musical journey across the ocean blue. The possibilities are endless from A Walk By the Sea to Waltzing on the Water! Sea Shanties, Songs of the Sea and even Newfoundland Fishing Songs.   This is an hour of rollicking fun!

The Village Band

In the late 1800s Manotick Village boasted a Village Brass Band.  The Manotick Brass has faithfully recreated the band uniforms and offers an historical quintet to support local festivals.   Arrangements of early Canadian Music can also be supplied to replicate what audiences might have seen and heard in the late 1800s.  Our historical Village Band has performed for the Rideau Canal Opening ceremonies, the 150th celebrations for the Village of Manotick as well as the 150th anniversary of Watson’s Mill in Manotick.  Let us add a unique historical flavour to your next celebration

DSC_0253With a Latin Beat!

This program is full of Latin rhythms and will have everyone swinging and swaying to the beat. Originally created for Cinco de Mayo Day, the Mexican Holiday in May, but any time of the year is a good time to feature this great toe-tapping program. A great opportunity for the audience to join in with tropical dress. A great theme for a summer Fiesta – we will provide some hats and hand percussion instruments so everyone can join in!

Scott editScotland the Brave!

We have scoured the globe for a selection of some of the best loved Scottish melodies.   This program contains many unique arrangements which inject new life in old favourites. The introduction to each piece provides some interesting historical facts from the land of the tartan.  A great program for Robbie Burns Day!

Fresh from our very successful tour of Ireland in 2014 we have a program full of wonderful Irish melodies. Many of these unique arrangements were commissioned for our Irish tour and are exclusive to us. This program is sure to transport everyone to the Land of the Shamrock!

Our wedding program includes 20 to 30 minutes of music as the guests arrive and take their seats.  We can also provide music as necessary during the ceremony including the traditional wedding marches.   We offer either traditional music, or secular love songs.  The sound of brass is ideally suited to both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.

Remembering with Brass

We honour our veterans with a special program during Remembrance week in November.  This popular program includes a mix of both sacred and secular music associated with Remembrance Day ceremonies as well as music associated with the period of the two great wars.

Christmas Reflections

Celebrate the Christmas season with the festive sound of brass!  We offer both secular and sacred programs including arrangements of popular carols to accompany congregational singing or an informal sing-a-long.  This year’s program features two new arrangements by E. F. Lloyd Hiscock including “Caribbean Christmas”, a wonderful medley of calypso carols.
