Alleluias With Brass!

Over the past 10 years the Manotick Brass has been active in supporting churches of every denomination. We have built an extensive repertoire of sacred music including traditional hymns and contemporary gospel songs. We have participated in many worship services usually playing 10 minutes of music before the service, a special piece of music during the service and the postlude at the end of the service. In addition we would normally accompany the singing of hymns.

We have also partnered with many local choirs and churches to organize and perform at joint concerts. This has included arrangements for brass and choir as well as arrangements for brass and organ. Our Christmas repertoire is extensive and contains a number of unique arrangements commissioned by Manotick Brass.

In 2011 Manotick Brass travelled to Cuba at the invitation of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Cuba. Over a nine day period the ensemble played concerts and supported worship services at churches in Havana, Cardenas, Matanzas and Varadero.
